Spre deosebire de Actele celor două ediţii anteriore ale aceluiaşi colocviu – Intenţionalitatea de la Plotin la Levinas. Metamorfozele unei idei şi Memoria filozofilor de la Platon la Derrida, tematica acestui volum este sensibil mai generoasă şi, de aceea, vizibil mai expusă pericolului sincretismului. Cu toate acestea, „identitatea“ acestui volum provine din faptul că nu îşi ia ca repere atât figuri filozofice centrale, cât mai ales probleme şi întrebări-limită suscitate de reflecţia filozofică pe marginea limbajului. Aşa sunt, de exemplu, încercările de a întrevedea limitele logos-ului şi ale rostirii, dificultăţile survenite în încercarea de a vorbi despre limbă sau scoaterea în evidenţă a unor sofisme dezvoltate pornind de la impreciziile limbajului uman.

The memory, without being one of the central themes of the history of philosophy, has always been present in the field of philosophical research, starting from the Greeks up to the recent modern philosophy. Based on the proceedings of the 2005 conference held at Casa Lovinescu, Bucharest, this volume shows the variety of the possible approches to memory and its hermeneutical generosity, being structured in four parts: the first two follow a historical perspective, the constitution of this theme in the Greek Antiquity and its interpretations in phenomenology. The last two sections are thematically configured, approaching problems related to memory: time, narrativity, writing.

This volume contains the proceedings of the first Colloquium organized by the Romanian Society for Phenomenology in September 2004 in Bucharest. The papers follow, in a chronological order, the history of the problem of intentionality from Plotinus up to Heidegger and Levinas, passing through the essential moments of Brentano's philosophy and the development of intentionality in the phenomenology of Edmund Husserl.
